MIDI Guitar 2 for iOS

I am interested in using my guitar as a midi controller, but have no real experience in this area and really only want to be able to use it with GarageBand and other iOS sound modules. Does anyone have any experiences with Midi Guitar 2 specifically for iOS? Also, what else would I need to get started? I hear people saying they use the Apple Camera Connector. Is that necessary or best?

The new 2.0 beta version was just released. I haven't tried it yet. Might do so tonight now that you mentioned it

The previous version didn't track your playing very well. They claim this update improved tracking. I hope so. It's a free download. You'll need an iOS compatible interface. I use the iRig HD 2.
