Mids-sculpting overdrive

I am always wanting to tweak the mids in overdrive pedals. Frustratingly, most of them only come with Bass/Treble, or a single Tone control.

I know that I could put an EQ pedal after the OD, or maybe the Skreddy Dynamic Mids Enhancer. But I think that surely there must be a couple of OD pedals out there with a dedicated mids control? I have found a couple of high gain pedals, and numerous pedals with a toggle switch for flat, scooped or boosted mids, but why so few lower to medium gain overdrives with real mids sculpting options? Who could build me one such pedal?

Mesa's new and improved Fluxdrive and ThrottleBox comes with 5 band EQ in addition to the bass/treble knobbies.

I'd call the Fluxdrive "medium gain".

Wow, thanks for all the replies! The Blue Dream looks interesting, but at the moment the Thrashy Blonde has my main attention. Is it a Rat-derived circuit?

Seymour Duncan 805 drive is a secret weapon people are slowly discovering. It's an 808 witb bass/mids/treble and it's very low cost.

You can do lots of things with a Boss GE-7 and a BD-2. Straight up Dumble.

The metal zone at low gain settings can get very Dumble too. More Dumble than my J rad The Dude which I sold for 180. My metal zone was 30 bucks mint.
