Just notcied this picture on the front of the official TP Facebook also features Mike's PB. I had read before that "Mike doesn't use pedal's". I guess that was an exageration. [IMG]

That board has been pretty well documented and I know Mike used a Rat a lot during the 80's live.

I can't figure out why the keyboardist has a whammy. Doesn't seem like pitchshifting would be very common on keys.

L.A. Sound Design is the best rig builder in the world-that's why Mike and Tom both had David and Martin build them new rigs a couple years back.

I think Pete Cornish might like to discuss that opinion...

Yeah, that's not true. He's great, ONE of the best, but honestly, I don't even think he's the best builder in the state of California.

Trust me-I have owned and played through every rig mentioned and L.A. Sound is unequalled in workmanship, innovation, design, and overall beauty of the rigs that they produce. I am on my 3rd project with them now-expanding and revising my big 18 space rack and my first rack, last year, was amazing. The pedalboard they built for me in 2008 was breathtaking. No one is doing more aesthetically pleasing, better sounding, quiet as a mouse rigs than L.A.S.D.

I would say that Vertex is at least on par.

But we can just agree that LASD are phenomenal professionals amongst the best doing that kind of work, and that their owner is a first class gentleman who deserves all the success he has been having.

I've never had a rig built by LASD but they look great. Dave Friedman has done all my work for about 15 years- I think he's top notch, and he does so many pro rigs it's hard to keep track (EVH, Steve Stevens, Slash, Jerry Cantrell, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, studio cats like John Shanks and Oliver Leiber, etc etc

Lots of great rig builders out there- I think it's great there are options, and it's tough to say one is "best".

Does anyone know where that shot was taken? I saw them in Little Rock, and that looks very similar to the arena there. Great, great show!!
