Does anyone have close up pictures of Mike McCready's #1 Strat? Here's one picture of him with that strat in question http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mike_McCready_CC20.jpg

I'm considering making a partscaster soon and gonna have it relic-ed by a relic-ing artist. McCready's Strat has that ideal wear that I want on mine so I'm gonna need as many detailed pictures as I can acquire to show as examples.

That is a sweet lookin' strat. I've always been a fan of Mikes'. Love the way he can use blues licks in the context of PJ songs.

No, that's what Rory's Strat looked like when it was new.

It's a '59, he has a '59 Les Paul, Strat and Junior as 59 is his favorite number. He even has it tatooed on his wrist as May 9th was the day he was married.

You're right. There's way too much paint still there.

    Thanks for the pics, gregeatworld.

Damn, that thing's more worn out than I thought. Not so gentle with his guitar, is he.

Yeah it's a 59. Call Mike Lull if you're going to do it... he's the guy that does most of the work on Mikes guitars I think.

As far as I know it's had refrets several times obviously but everything else is original....

I'm pretty sure the above picks are from Mike Lull's shop.

The guy is one of my hero's too.

He's pretty much played the crap out of it in all kinds of weather and sweated all over it. My guess is some of the paint was also flaked off as some of those places just aren't from normal playing wear.

how does a guitar get that ****ed up? I challenge anyone to tell me that's natural wear.
