I always thought Mike is a great player and I am a fan of Genesis to some degree. But, he is one of those players who's tone I just do not like but his ideas and playing are great. Just wanted to get some feedback and see what you guys think. "Home by the Sea" , "ABACAB", "No Reply At All" have some phenomenal playing all around.

Go back to "Selling England by the Pound". Beautiful 12 string and bass pedal work.

Rutherford is definitely not a guitarist's guitarist. But Hackett or Rutherford, neither of whose tone I would ever want for myself, both fit into the music so damn well in their own special way. I love the solo to Abacab and the heavily flanged guitar intro riff to Follow You, Follow Me is very easy to play but sounds awesome.
