Has anyone tried the MIM burton tele. I've only seen it in candy aple red. It has a U shaped maple neck. Is is a sleeper?

Yes. It's a great guitar. One of the best tele necks I've played. The MIM James Burton is one of those guitars that you want to buy now while they're still cheap.

I had one, sold it, and always regretted it. Terrific guitars.

I, too, have only seen this model in CAR, which I can't stand.

It's stock with Texas pups, right?

Yes, Texas specials. Which sound much better than Texas special strat PU's. I've also seen a yellow one (a few days ago on german ebay for a cheap price).

Yes. Great guitar. I know a TGP member trying to get the one he foolishly sold back. I love Texas Special tele pickups.

I've never tried the TX Tele pups but have heard they're much nicer that the Strats.
