Hi Andrew, I love my model D. How did you set up the mini in regards to gain structure ? The D has so many variations of gain available. If I got a mini would it be redundant ? Thanks

The MINI-D is identical to the:
    - model D Drive channel
    - with the PAB ON
    - the SETUP is at a happy medium for both Single coils and Humbuckers

For those not familiar with the WIZ-PEDAL model: D see info at:

My test MiniD arrived today! I shall put her through the paces, post haste.

May actually be a couple days. I'll report back!

Andrew, does it also work on 9v and/or 12v? My pedal board is wired with either of those choices. If I like it, it can replace my Tiki Drive!

Same circuit as the model: D..... so it can work on 9V but...
as you already know the sound will be more compressed and
you lose that nice open top.

12V should sound better then 9V.... but 18V is the best.

Hi any chance you could give a brief explanation of the controls on your mini pedal?
    Thanks,
    Kurt

    Simple but versatile 3 knobs:
    - Gain
    - Level
    - Hi-Cut

Are you asking for an explanation on how I use it in the video?

    Clean boost:
    - Gain on minimum
    - Level on max
    - Hi-Cut on max (no cutting)

    Slight breakup:
    - Same but with Gain on 9

    D style territory:
    - Gain 1 o'clock - max
    - Level 11-12 o'clock
    - Hi-Cut 1 o'clock

    For softer attack:
    - Roll back the volume on the guitar and up the Gain on the pedal.

I use 50's wiring on the Les-Paul so rolling the guitar Tone down also changes the Volume, this gives me more options.
One of my favorite way to use the pedal:
    - Gain on max
    - Level at 11 o'clock
    - Hi-Cut on 1 o'clock
    - Guitar volume on 6
    - Guitar tone on 3 for smooth tone, 4 for a little more hair, 8 for driven D tone and for blasting D tone I put both volume and tone on 8.

Of course a lot of this depends on your amp, cab, guitar and picking style.
Wiz-Pedal is super responsive to dynamics and tone control, if you look closely at the video you will see I'm using both fingers and picks.
I also play dynamically, from soft finger picking to hitting hard with a pick.
It all comes through.... that's the beauty of this pedal.

I didn't think about it but I guess I should point it out.
It's a unique design with several design features not found in any other pedals out there.
I can not guarantee that everybody will love it but
I can guarantee that it will sound/feel different then any other pedal you might have been playing.
