Leaving other considerations to one side for the moment........ for strong bonding of the neck to the body, what would be the minimum acceptable length of neck wood for gluing into the body neck pocket on a Les Paul Junior style (flat top 2" slab) guitar ?
That is, with a neck heel having 'fixed' gluing surfaces of 35mm (1and 3/8") thickness, a width of 58mm (2 and 5/16"), what is the minimum recommended length of the heel to be glued into the body pocket ?
A humbucker cavity will be routed into the bonding area.
