Anyone know which old consumer electronics these are found in (besides guitar effect boxes)? Or a reliable source for purchasing a couple of them. I know Panasonic discontinued production in the 90s.

I just need a few for a big box DMM that I want to extend the delay time.

    Thanks for any info.

(for what it's worth, I think you might find it a very difficult endeavour to ADD MN3005 chips to a big box DMM but maybe you're a whiz with electrical engineering)

I see them regularly on eBay but I have no way of verifying their authenticity, or whether they're NOS or "reused"

I'm pretty sure they used them in some older vcr's.

What function would a BBD chip perform in a VCR?

You might try old Karaoke machines.

I was lucky enough to come into possession of a MN3005 and compatible clock and compander chips. I'd love to mod my Aqua Puss reissue to an original AP2. Does anyone have instructions on doing this, or know someone that can do it? I think it's probably beyond my skills since (if I remember correctly) the AP2 requires more than 9v like the mkII?
