Mobius + Expression pedal = volume swell?

Hi, the Mobius has an autoswell mode which is not bad at all, and every parameter can be controlled with an expression pedal...but can you actually set it up so that the expression pedal works as a volume pedal?
I'm not quite sure this is doable...

Why use a wah if you can have autowah?

completely different applications... by using the expression pedal for volume swells you need to be on the autoswell setting. it'd be easier to just add a volume pedal to your chain which would allow you to add some modulation with the mobius to give the swell more depth.

Also, your analogy is backwards, what you asked was more along the lines of 'i have an autowah, can i add an expression pedal to make it a regular wah?'

It can be done. I use the Pattern trem setting, Beat 1 set to "zero" and the rest "----". Expression linked to depth: heel 100% depth, toe 0%. Volume parameter can thn be used for unity or boost as desired. Everything else to zero (or doesn't matter). The response is a little different than a typical volume pedal, but it works.

Re: way/autowah, I've occasionally liked to use a lower depth autowah setting, and still link the mid freq parameter to expression. You get the constant motion and speed of the auto, but the broader control of a regular wah.

I was being ironic regarding the previous comment ;-) to say that autoswell and volume pedal are alike as much as autowah and wah are...that is, not quite ;-)
