Modeler (G3) in the loop of a Baggs Para DI for electric?

I'm playing a sideman gig tonight with an acoustic singer/songwriter guy. I'll play a lot of acoustic and when I do that, I run my G3 for effects and looping in the loop of my Baggs Para DI.

I was thinking I might dial up a deluxe reverb patch and play some stuff on the electric, but I've never tried running a modeler in the loop of the DI. The loop comes after the gain and before all the EQ stuff (i think), so I'm wondering if it will work/sound good. If it sounds good with acoustic, there's no reason it shouldn't work with the electric through one of the amp models, right? I don't have much experience using the G3 as a modeler, as I normally use it for effects only.

I used my G3X last night going Strat>G3X>fx return on a combo amp.
Sounded fabulous. Going in the fx return bypasses tone stack on my combo.
Amp sims work really well giving the gain control back to the volume knob on guitar.
Best $199 I've spent in a while.

Just got back - it worked out pretty well. I used the deluxe reverb model in the g3 w/my dirt pedals and a flashback in the loop of the baggs para di and it sounded good, definitely good enough. Not a bad solution for somebody pulling sideman duty with an acoustic partner.

Hi,
but i think you also can avoid to use the DI, if you go out from the DI out of the G3 with "direct" setting for output you can go into the mix board with electric (and Amp simulation) or the acoustic using only some effects on the G3

Well I knew I could do it without the para di but that baggs unit has such a nice preamp that I didn't want to sacrifice using it on the acoustic - I just wanted to be able to change presets on the zoom and go from electric to acoustic in the same rig.
