    Trying to get educated...

For those who gig, whether you use a HD500, 11r or Axe-Fx modeler, what is your stage amp and speakers?

    1 Which modeler are using?
2 What music style (rock, jazz, metal, blues, covers etc)
3 What speakers are you using (brand/model/power rating, PA only both, other?)

    Thanks

HD500, IEMs - UE triple fi (although to be honest not the biggest fan), Pop Rock whatever.

Just run an extra cable down to the pod. Messy and crappy but it works, and keeps stage volume down. Plus I can hear myself.

    When using my modeler live...

    If not lazy, GSP1101 + ART SLA-1 + 2x12 V30 closed back cab.
If feeling lazy, GSP1101 direct to board using the IRs on the XLR outputs.

I'm using an HD500 with a Traynor K4 keyboard amp. Stereo, and plenty of clean, clean power. Heavy but it's a freakin' tank. I play clubs mainly, some outdoor events. Have rarely had it above 3 out of 10. Rock n' roll, country and blues.

Axe-fx, various covers, Verve series self powered - I use the 8MA 200 watts, those gigging in bands use 12MA. Lots of other choices, but I like clarity of Verve series by FBT

At church we use an in-ear system similar to aviom (I forget the brand name at the moment...) and I actually have that running into a wireless in-ear unit. It's not the best but, it's working.
At home I'm running the xlr out into a DAW and using a pair of Senheiser HD280s.

    1 Which modeler are using?

    POD HD500

2 What music style (rock, jazz, metal, blues, covers etc)

all of the above (well, not metal...)

3 What speakers are you using (brand/model/power rating, PA only both, other?)

    Varies depending on mood:

Mackie Thump TH-12a - I've used this for a few outdoor patio style gigs where I needed to provide PA for vocals as well. Worked like a charm and sounded great.

Into the Return of Tech 21 Trademark 60 or ZT Club - I've used this config a few times due to not 100% trusting the the stage mix at some bars I've played. Again, worked like a charm (though with either amp tweaks were required) and sounded great.

    4 Type(s) and size(s) of venues played

Thus far, small bars and outdoor patio places (one of which was more of a gazebo/big parking lot configuration).

    5 Typical size of audience

Varies from a handful of folks up to around 30 so far, new group and we don't have much of a following yet.
