Any info on a slightly modernized boutique version of a 5E3 Deluxe?

I love the sound of a Tweed Deluxe but have always found I needed a little more in tone control and shaping.

Has any builder taken the basic format but added just a little more control (treble, bass, presence and a good master volume) without killing off the great organic tone?

    Probably blasphamy to ask:)

    Build your own!

My personal favorite mods include a 5v4 rectifier, a choke, upping the filter caps to 40uf, the paul C mod, vol-tone mod.

Basically, just go to www.missionamps.com and buy his 5e3 kit and all of the available 5e3 mods.

    Bruce will treat you right.

D13 has an offering that cats around here are raving about.

I forget what it's called off the top of my head.

    Search?

    It's supposed to be amazing.
