1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Well I don't like the use of the word "mojo", so I can't really help you at all...

From experience... I believe that a good Boutique pedal will beat a good Corporate pedal every time.

Carbon batteries.... Both Sean from Lovepedal and Marcus from M.A.D. say they sound better. I bow to their fine ears and agree. I've never taken the time to do a back to back.

Judging from all the low quality components in big-name pedals (or generally everything budget and/or "Made in China"), I'd say I'd believe that any "boutique" (possibly handmade) pedal has a higher chance of having higher quality components than the mass-made pedal.

Did I make myself clear?

Well I never meant to sound demeaning, I was just curious to see who believes in these debatable aspects of effects.

That is kinda a funny statement when you think about it... I'd take the following "corporate" (which I assume means mainstream production) items:

    1959 - 1966 Fender Stratocasters
    a tycobrahe octavia
a 1966-1970 Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Facea 1970 Univox Univibe
an original Electro Harmonix 16 second delay
    a real Marshall Plexi

but I'm probably bending the rules now ;)
