Sounds really good this MOOER.
Better than ZOOM G3N?
I do wish Boss and Zoom would do the same...
Absolutely not in it's current form/firmware. Maybe with an update or 2 more it will be equal in tone to the Zoom or Boss GT001/100 but it does have IR which is a pretty nice feature.
Absolutely yes no doubt about it. And i've been a dedicated Zoom user for years now!
Yes, far better as a preamp. Celestion IR kicked my unit up tenfold.
The new harmony effect sounded pretty decent in the demo, curious what else we will get.
This got my attention. Always dig your playing / skills, and sounds you get from Zoom gear, as a long time user of Zoom myself your posts (and a few others' posts) on Zoom are great confirmation on what they can do.
Not ready to ditch my G1Xon (or B1on), but I'm paying more attention to the GE200 because of this post, and the sounds you're getting from it.
edit: hope this inspires Zoom to step up their game, and a G9 (or G7) flagship with Z-pedal will be released soon.
Some people say it's better than ZOOM G3N, others say it's worse.
Who is right?
Which is better, Pepsi or Coke? Apples or Oranges? Original Series or The Next Generation? Les Paul or Stratocaster?
You do realise there isn't really an answer, right?
Precisely. It really all depends on what you plan on doing with it. Some modellers are better for clean or light overdrive sounds while others are better for high gain (ie: metal) tones. In the same way, some units have a ton of effects and you can chain (depending on the dsp of the pedal) as many as you want, even multiple instances of the same effect. Whereas, with something like the GSP1101, the effects chain is pretty much fixed except for one or two and even then, there are only 5 or 6 reverbs & delays, so the selection isn't super great.
Still no stock anywhere and it makes me want it even more. LOL
I do wonder where the new Firmware is that was supposed to be available mid December.
i can't believe that mooer beats a zoom
edit: with headphones zoom wins in my smart tv mooer wins wtf!!!
this is not an ad but in the site of choptones there's 3 videos testing patches that are not posted in his youtube channel
this is with an engl ir from them
shaped with a Choptones Custom IR based on an Zilla Custom Fatboy 2x12 Cabinet loaded with Creamback M65
The question is, is there lack of stock because of all of the sales or is it because the company just didn't ship very many (a-la Nintendo NES-mini where each store got around a dozen & that was about it).
To be honest, I thought that the Zoom actually sounded better.
"It's like Star Trek: The Next Generation. In many ways it's superior, but will never be as recognized as the original."

No mention of the Power amp modelling they were teasing a couple of weeks back, though...
Edit: Well, I just got booted from the GE200 Facebook group for giving some moderately criticical feedback on a recording that was posted there by the admin. Man, people can be so offended about the smallest of things. If you're a member of the group, check out the 2 recordings that were posted today or yesterday, audio only. I made the comment that the audio quality wasn't the best, as it sounded as if they might have been recorded over a poor Skype connection, there was a significant amount of digital compression artefacts. I was hoping the author might have a bettere quality original clip to upload. I still thanked the author for his contribution.
...Got the kick, no longer a member.
Guy in the video sounded pretty darn good, albeit, a little goofy...lol
I received my GE200 on Saturday and I can say that my expectations have been fulfilled. As emercency backup for the Kemper it can save any event.
Of course, you have to accept sound quality losses but with this price (and weight ) it is irrelevant. For a quick rehearsal setup and for jams I will probably choose this more comfortable option for a few times.
The sounds are quite useful for life performances and the operation is relatively simple.
The description is rather short. So far I haven't found anything to import IR's with Win yet. I would be grateful for instructions.
Edit: Found by myself how to import IR's
BTW: @Henky you vid "autumnly" is great!
No tube power amp sim parameters?
