That is interesting!
is it just me, or does Mooer really need to get someone that speaks english as a primary to do their ads for them, I was on their site earlier and notice that they call the new looper pedal a "tuner" and the new octave pedal a "tremolo" and this ad is riddled with broken english as well. My 2 cents, but it does look like one of the better ideas for a micro wah pedal that have been coming out lately. I think the fold out treadle is what sets this apart from the other MXR sized wahs out there.
EDIT: maybe not, if the dimensions are correct on their site, that thing is tinier yet than the AMT and new Dunlop mini wah. Though the treadle is still pretty smart, just don't know if its big enough to help any, guess will know when someone demos this guy.
"To turn the pedal on/off, simply put your foot on the pedal .The pressure sensor will sense your touch, and the LED will be lit up, indicating the wah effect is in operation."
I'm not sure how the folding tredle is a benefit as you still can't put another pedal on the board where the treadles go when unfolded. I guess at best it gives you 4 options for tredle size, but your foot isn't that tiny.
switchless, but also can't do parked wah sounds that way i'd think.
guess that would depend on your board layout, but this thing does look fairly tall enough that the foldout would still hover over other pedals. As said before, I guess will have to wait till we start seeing demo's as to the usefulness of some of the features.
Tap once it turns on, tap and it turns off. So it can be parked.
You can do parked wah tones using mode two ...
I kinda want to drop my board and load up their mini flight case.
They're also coming out with a 'funk/blues wah' and a vol pedalin this format...
Cool and nice looking, wonder what street price will be?
On sale here for $168 cad ($126 usd).
Ordered one and while I'm not expecting to be blown away I just had to find out if it was at least usable because I'm a sucker for compact stuff as long as it doesn't make me want to throw it in the lake.
Definitely interested in hearing more about how this sounds and if the system works or is "fiddly".
My thoughts exactly and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Foot actually.
I bought one used and the switching (on/off) doesn't seem to work right. It says it turns on from the pressure of your foot, it doesn't, but if you tap it just perfectly (not an easy thing to do) it turns on, and you have to repeat this dance to turn it off. I contacted Mooer but I don't expect much from that. I wonder if there is any way to fix it. the pressure sensor seems to be under the front pad...
This wah has 3 settings
Make sure you're not in hold or advanced mode by holding down the bottom pad when you hook up the power supply, the led will flash once, twice or three times letting you know what mode you're in. Switch it to Sensor mode and see if that helps.
Although I bought this a couple months ago I'd never plugged it in until last night and I'm really happy with its operation, not to mention basic tonality. Need to play with it more but I'll say that even though it was nicer underfoot with the wings opened out, it was just fine with them in closed position too.
Like the instant ability to have it on/off, in any position! No longer do I have to start at one end of the spectrum unless I want to.
Does this pedal colour the tone when it is turned off?
