Mooer Shimverb Level over 2/3 mix/volume issue?

I receive a Shimverb from someone on TGP today and without any time to mess with it, took it a solo acoustic gig. Rant it last before a Fishman Loudbox 100. Room reverb dialed in very quickly to get a sound for tonight. I thought the pedal might be defective because the guitar's signal went away when the level control was up. Got home tonight and found this in one of the threads:

"I have talked this topic with our engineers. They told me that when the level knob is turned more 2/3, the original sound will decay to emphasize the reverb effect. It's the reason why the volume drop down."

That's what I'm hearing. Was this ever fixed?

Thanks

When I had one there was definitely a bit of a volume drop. Not really that big a deal if you leave it on all the time, but the biggest issue for me was that I just wasn't blown away by the sound. Weak spring, and the shimmer was not useable because it created fifths, not octaves. The room was okay, but not so great that I wanted to keep it.

When the decay knob is more than half way up, the dry signal gets mixed out more and the effected signal is mixed in more. Sort of like how the EHX Holy Grail does when you turn the knob past half way up.

The shimmer setting on it was pretty terrible. It always sounded like the shimmer notes were out of tune. The spring setting was weak and the room setting was just okay.

There are settings for room that work well with an acoustic. Enough decent sounds to keep it for the tiny size. Yeah, the shimmer is strange.
