I've sold my timeline to get a simpler analog delay, but not without features. After I've done my homework, it breaks down between DMMtt (had a memory man reissue in the past which I loved, but not without some issues) or the MF-104M. Somehow I got a good deal for either of those, so soundwise.. what do you think and recommend? Thx

I was just looking at jrrshop.com. if you apply the 15% off fall15 coupon code good till tomorrow, sept 30th, you can get the 104m for about 540, I think. That's the best price I've seen yet for it. I just may have to do it. Somebody buy my stuff in the emporium!

Hey thanks so much for the link. Is that place legit with the customer service, any experience? Never heard of 'em before

I've bought stuff from them once before. I ordered more than one thing at once. They didn't have something in stock so they broke my shipment up. When it arrived, I was confused as to where the other stuff was, and emailed them, they explained to me that they would ship it when they got it. So their automated communication was a little off, but personnel communication was good. In the end I got everything I ordered at a great price.

If you can swing it with your credit card, buy both and demo them, and send back the one you don't want. This is with a place with a good return policy, of course.

I have the 104m and love it, but I have many other delays.

Did a little research on the company, I found a few cases about them not having stuffs in stock and charging up front. I don't really mind, but not really in the mood of uncertainty of the wait. But yeah it's a good deal, too bad I have to pay extra for tax, otherwise it's a GREAT deal.

Yeah, getting one takes a lot already.. couldn't afford on getting both to demo them :)
I'm pretty much set on the mooger, there's this warmness of the modulating delay that I really love. I thought it's just a hype of it being a "moog", but still a bit overpriced imo

If you can get it for 540 go for it. It won't lose much if any value, and it sounds amazing if you like dark repeats.

It'll be about 590 with tax included, still a good deal. I'll call them sometimes this afternoon, and maybe pay a little visit if they have stock, since it's only about 30 minutes away.

I did, they're out of stock.. like most of the stores. Another batch would be sometimes in November. There goes 15% coupon :-(

I actually already got it, bought it used from my buddy only like over a month old. You'll love it dude.. There are plenty of reasons why this thing is so damn expensive. Lemme know once you get it, I've few concerns regarding the lfo, hopefully it's not a problem.

If you're not using a CP-251 than you may want to skip it and look around for something less expensive. It sounds good but honestly it's a bit of a let down straight out of the box if you're not taking advantage of the cv control. I just assume have an old SAD-1 or something for simple analog delay.

This (104m) has modulation, rate, depth, and wave form selection including a sample and hold wave form. It also has tap tempo available to both the delay time, and modulation time. It also has spill over Mode. None of these features require an external controller to access.

Maybe you are thinking of the 104z Which is known for its dark repeats and an effects loop for the repeats. Along with CVs to control it.

The m has its parameters as CV and MIDI accessible

^I'm referring to the 104m. I think it's an impressive pedal but as a straight forward analog delay, wouldn't be near the top of my list.

I got mine a few months ago. I've got to say, that at first I was a little disappointed. But the more I dug into the pedal and didn't pidgeon-hole it, the more I like it. I own a DMM and a DM3. So I know what a good delay and a bucket brigade circuit sounds like. I mainly use it in studio. I don't take it to practice much, but it does sound good when I do.

I can't say either way. If you're looking for straightforward analog? Save some $ and get a DMM TT. If you want something that is going to surprise you today, tomorrow, 3 years from now with a feature you never knew existed or a sound you never thought a delay pedal could do. Go Moog.

I've never tried it with a CP or CV. What does that add/do? I've got 3 Moog pedals and I've been scheming a CP251.
