    nice Cm11 | F7 vamp.

although, it's interesting that you chose to play in C# over this progression.
is it because of the discrepancy with tuning to the original track?

oh well, i'm probably just going deaf...hell, i know i am.

    rock on!

It sounded to me like the Bass was in C# and the rhodes was closer to C, and I always go with the bass. I might be tone-deaf today though - i have days like that :(

I'm not sure about the tuning either but I wil definitely steal some licks from you on this tune.

Nice feel and ideas! Can hear your jazz influences for sure.

I LOVED Grovers version of "Take 5" as well. What a great tune.

I am going to steal this backing and give it a whirl too. Thanks for posting it! :)

Very cool backing, Ant. I thought your approach was pretty cool, but I create enough tension with my clams that I figured C# might be a bad idea for me. ;)

Nice creative playing Scotch! Way to avoid the cliches which is hard to do in that type of vamp. (I would be playing every one known to mankind. )
