The thing I liked best about going to Mass as as kid (what kid actually LIKES going to Mass?.....) was the music - before it turned into all that "Kumbiyah" crap, anyways. I always thought the music was just majestic. I really loved hearing this performed by a Mass Choir. Well, let's see - I've got multitrack software but can't sing worth a damn, sooooooo......

........I just replaced all the voices with guitars[IMG]

I don't suppose this will appeal to everyone, but I had fun doing it. Give a listen if you like and let me know what you thought:

Merry Christmas - I hope the coming year brings you all happiness, good health and good fortune.

    Peace (and why not?),
    John

Notice the well-buried acoustic playing! My fingerstyle chops are.....well, chops probably isn't even the right word! Thanks for the kind words. I sure get a lot of mileage out of my eBow:D

I'll take a wild guess at it (as I don't know Morse Code all that well!!)

    O Come O Come Emmanuel

    O come, O come, Emmanuel
    And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
    Thine own from Satan's tyranny
From depths of Hell Thy people save
And give them victory o'er the grave
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, Thou Key of David, come,
    And open wide our heavenly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, O come, Thou Lord of might,
Who to Thy tribes, on Sinai's height,
In ancient times did'st give the Law,
In cloud, and majesty and awe.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

I didn't know there were five verses (I thought there were only three!). The morse code isn't the lyrics, though:(

Thanks PAF and LOOKSLIKEMEBAND for checking it out, and Happy Holidays. The free set of strings are still available, folks!

That was quite a powerful piece of music, John. I loved it! Have no clue about the hidden message though. Damn decoder ring is on the fritz again. ;)
