5Y3 is a Dumont. Dumonts are often re-branded RCAs. Lettering/dots on the 6V6 looks reminiscent of GE but I couldn't say for sure.

GE style lettering for sure, but the coin base reminds me of short bottle Sylvania.

PS since Dumonts are often rebranded RCAs and RCA would often get some of their rectifier tubes from Mullard (I think) then it's likely the 5Y3 is mullard (especially since it says "england" on it).

Hell, I dunno :) I imagine they did (since bloody everyone else seems to have). Where's Mike K. when we need him?

LOL !! Yeah , they just swapped tubes on a bigger scale than around here . :p

I dunno if it's on its last legs , halfway done , 3/4 still left , or what , but it sounds good .

Maybe the duM ... thing is a duMble relabeled Brimar :D

I think both GE and Sylvania made "nude base" 6V6s. Seems like the Sylvania had black glossy plates like their other 6V6s. FWIW, that GE is an excellent sounding 6V6s.

Yepper , you're right , it sounds *fine* . Cosmetically this one's been around the block , but it'd be worth a grab if anybody sees another one , that's why I was wondering what it is . :AOK

the Dum??? is definitely Dumont. I have a pair of smoked glass RCA 6V6s with that exact logo.
