Do you believe in love at first sight? Is there such a thing? Can amps sound heavenly the moment you turn them on? And you barely have to turn a knob? Have I been missing out!?

Just played the AC20 Deluxe (the one with the two little switches own front and three knobs, I've seen some variations online) and WOW what an amp!! I think I'm in love! And I'm this >< close to buying one! And that's after only spending about an hour playing through it! Am I insane? Is love deaf?

Seriously, what a fine sounding amp, anyone here have one? How much is the matching cab contributing to the sound? What pedals are you running in front of it?

    Thanks!

EDIT: Guess I should edit this post now...I ended up trying to buy the amp from Morgan and as soon as I paid him the 2000 bucks he wanted up front he went awol...then he finally said the amp was ready and asked me to pay the remaining 500 bucks but went awol again without shipping the amp. Oh come on you have new threads about the same Mesa Boogie's and Fender's all the time. But don't worry I'll do a search tonight :)

^If the "you" is directed at me, then you once again have not used the search function.

There are 134 threads using ac20 in the title...

Nice pictures! Have you compared yours to AC15's and/or Ac30's?

Does Morgan make an AC30 30-watt version of this amp? If not, why not?

AA864, what specific Tele model is that?

OP, check out the Dual 20 or 40. Every Vox-y sound you could want.

Correct, 2008 American Deluxe. Actually, I just sold it a week ago. I have two other tele's that get more attention.

No, I have not. I was looking for a Vox amp, and wanted US made PTP wired, the Morgan was the right choice.

BTW, I bought all mine right here on TGP used. Bought the head first, then a Cel Blue, which I used in an Avatar cab for a while. Then the 1x12 Chalk Chilwich came up in the emporium and I picked it up to complete the Head/Cab setup. I saved quite a bit and stagered the purchases over 1.5 yrs.

When played in a room by itself it was the nicest amp I've ever owned (and owned a few). With a band in a gig setting though, there was something about it that just didn't sit right in the mix. It was probably not quite enough headroom for my needs at the time.

All that said, I wouldn't mind owning another one at some point.
