Gotta share this here, there's probably some guys who will dig this. Morgan James has been doing covers on YT as well as gigs to promote her record Hunter which is out now. She's an amazing singer, and TGP's own Doug Wamble wrote/produced the record and is playing guitar on some of these. All of the acoustic living room sessions are worth a look, as are the Postmodern Jukebox stuff.

    D'Angelo's "Ain't That Easy"

    Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark"

And here's one of Postmodern Jukebox's popular clips, Maroon 5's "Maps"

She's great. What a voice, soul and she holds it back. Is that Doug Wamble playing the dobro? That's great funky playing. I now want a metal body.

That's Doug, yeah. Check out some of her other clips, including the Postmodern Jukebox stuff. And her record is great, too.

Sorry but the thing that moved me was the guitar playing...it was out of this world...

What kind of a slide was that?

Out of this world, you say? I just found out they covered the entire D'Angelo record, just guitar and vocals. Some real good stuff, guitar-wise. Check it out... (helps if you know Black Messiah, though -- or maybe not? Music is music, I guess) Stand-outs, for me: "The Charade" (8:20) "Really Love" (14:47) "Betray My Heart" (28:57) and "Another Life" (37:30) Enjoy!
