I think my Blockhead Custom 50 is one of the best hot rodded Marshall type amps out there. PTP wiring with custom wound trannys and an extra preamp tube for added gain.
Fairly obscure, as less than a hundred were ever made.
Ooh. I thought of something super obscure and most definitely killer: Barber Echelon. There are twenty of them.
You are correct Sir, and have great taste!
Here's my Bedrock Royale:
Sheldon Amplification, hand built in Birmingham, UK. I've got a 3 Watt Sheldon TT3 that's a killer home/studio amp.
Nice bag of weed in the top picture.
Actually this amp was the brainchild of Evan Cantor,my friend and the amp designer of Bedrock. The best amp they ever made
Garnet Deputy - Made in Canada to compete with the Marshall Plexi and it sounds fantastic ! Hard to find
Nice ! I have a couple garnets , Go Cananda !
Holy cow. **** like this is exactly what is so awesome about TGP. Really great!
Garnet Pro 200 "The Super" 50 watt head from the 70's
60's Supro Bantam in original red tolex
CF Martin 112 and a DeArmond R15; both are rare, killer sounding and from late 1960.
Tell Evan he done good! I heard he was the guy that designed the Royale series. I hear it just came out too late to save Bedrock from earlier company damaging issues.
My amp tech described the circuit as being the amplifier equivalent to a Ferrari: Built to be a sweet ride, run at full blast, and have some unconventional quirks that will land it in the shop once in a while.
Is he still designing amps?
