Newest album I would put in my top 20 would probably be Oceanic by Isis, and that's 12 years old already.

The new Kayo Dot is streaming, listened to part of it on Monday.
Aye. Tempted to listen, but going to wait for my CD to arrive. I hear good things, though. :) New Devin Townsend is out soon after. Good times.

Almost 20 years old now... But Shaver's live "Unshaven" is one of my top 20.

Augie March "Sunset Studies" (2000)
Augie March "Strange Bird" (2002)
SubAudible Hum "Everything You Heard Is True" (2005)
Betchadupa "Aiming For Your Head" (2004)
Liam Finn "I'll Be Lightning" (2007)
Tame Impala "Lonerism" (2012)
Pond "Beard, Wives, Denim" (2012)
Anna Calvi "Anna Calvi" (2011)

all top 20 for me.

Pond are the best band in the world right now.

Kayo Dot and their previous incarnation Maudlin of the Well are two of the most insufferable bands I've ever had the displeasure of hearing. They are in the top 20 of bands you'd rather die that hear again.

Yeah, you're validating my thought that for my choice to be a 20 year all-timer album, it wouldn't be any more recent than something that's been in 7 or 8 years of frequent rotation already, which might mean something by Pere Ubu or Chris Whitley or Burning Spear or Husker Du or X/John Doe.

Rush - Clockwork Angels (2012)
Skull Fist - Chasing the Dream (2014)

Both easily make top 10. Either can be bumped into top 5 on any given day, especially Skull Fist.

"Poor Moon" by Hiss Golden Messenger, 2012.
It's beautiful and colorful and haunting- an instant classic from start to finish. If you don't like it, we can't be friends.

Like many others I don't listen to albums anymore, but I dig The Wild Feathers and Need To Breathe quite a bit.

My list is ever evolving. Latest inductees are albums by Royal Blood, Vintage Trouble, Flume and Lorde
