I emailed Mike from KCA about this, but in the meantime I thought I'd ask around here. This tube is supposed to be a replacement for the 12at7, but it is quite large and the pins are REALLY long, too long in fact for the tube sockets in the preamp of my 1964 Tremolux. I insert it all the way in and there's about 2mm of pin that doesn't make it into the socket. Should I just leave it like that, or can I not use the tube?

All my vintage Fenders are outfitted with CV4024's. I'm going to guess that a pin isn't properly inserted into the socket, perhaps "on the side" of the pin's individual socket as opposed to inserted into it,

    if that makes any sense.
