Are their fans going to bug out the way Bob Dylan's fans did when he went electric ?

so instead of every song being a ramp from quiet to loud it will be a ramp from loud to more loud

The song I have heard sounds a bit like Coldplay.

I misread the title as "going to the electric chair."

I have a friend that calls them Nickleback with acoustic guitars. If they go electric, who will we make fun of in their place? The Lumineers?

if it's the same one i heard, it sounds like them trying to sound like coldplay trying to sound like U2 ca. joshua tree.

still, if it means the era of annoying "arena folk" is over, so much the better, we can all put our banjos and suspenders away.

Found both of the new songs on YouTube. The first songs got a dreamy pad thing going on in the background like most Coldplay songs have, but the second song sounds like Kings of Leon wrote it for them.

Either way, I can't stand their old folk vibe, while this stuff definitely isn't very good, it's certainly more tolerable.
