    Seriously, nothing against them but, of all the possible rock groups out there, are "Mumford & Sons" and "Bon Iver" in the group of the five best rock groups in America for 2011 (or 2012 or whatever year these Grammies are for)?

    Name me 5 others you would've rather seen.

    More importantly, I don't know too many serious music listeners who put stock in the Grammy Awards. I wouldn't stress on this one too hard if I were you.

    categories are fabricated; "best" is fabricated.
    "music's biggest night" is, of course, its very own fabrication.

    get used to it!

    maybe you can find some odd way to almost enjoy its self-perpetuated mythology-meets-fantasy aspects.

    Excuse me, I mispoke. Bon Iver was NOT in the best rock category. They won best alternative. My bad...

    That Mumford and Sons single was my favorite song of the year. I think I even saw a list that said it was the biggest selling digital single. Who knew? Either way, I love the song.

    Any chance Mumford and Sons will ever ride their Vespas onstage like Rob Halford? That would be hilarious.

    Someone needs to photoshop this. And please put a leather jacket on the lead singer.

    me, too:
    i dig mumford & sons, as well as bon iver.

    but, i wouldn't get too worked-up about who won & lost at an awards ceremony,
    not about all these fake-assed, overtly-simplifying categorisations of music;
    i like what i like.
    what moves me, moves me.

    but, then again, according to current (very general) trends in TGP "thinking",
    i'm probably deluded.
