Musicomlab EFX MkII - Update??

Does anyone know if Musicomlab ever publicly offered a firmware update of the EFX MkII?

I just purchased a used MkII with v1.x software. The last version they sold had v3.0 software and I'd like to update mine if possible.
The (3) extra MIDI program changes per preset will be most helpful to me.

I have a MKII and wondered the same thing. I contacted Rockbox, and if I remember correctly, you have to send it in to get it updated. You should check with Rockbox, though.

Send it in? Lame.

I suspect it requires a physical EPROM chip swap since the unit doesn't have a MIDI input jack.

I emailed Rockbox to see if they could provide me with a chip. I have a EE degree, so I think I can handle replacing an IC.
