Musictoyz?

Does Musictoyz ever answer the phone or return questions? Are they in buisness still?

I've called mutiple times and left 3 messages over the last two weeks and have not heard back.

I was thinking of buying something and just had a product question; now I'm worried about going on their website and entering my credit card information if I don't they are actually doing business. Plus it's really a turn off to want to do business with a company that has such poor communication/service.

Is this an anomaly, is there something going on there or just the way they are?

Despite all of the negative things Ive read on TGP about musictoyz i had an excellent experience with them. I ordered a Skreddy LMMD from him because his site said they were in stock and a few days went by and i hadnt received and shipping info so i gave him a call. He answered in person and although hes kind of grumpy, he explained that skreddy hadnt shipped the LMMD's on time and so it would be another week. I let him know that i was a little upset that his site said they were in stock and they werent and he said he was sorry ect. next thing i know i get a call back from musictoyz and he informs me that he had skreddy overnight me a LMMD because he felt bad! sure enough the next day i had my LMMD and all was well.

I've had good experiences with them, but seem very inconsistent from reading here. Probably not enough specialized employees.

I emailed them a few weeks ago about the upcoming Klon. They replied promptly and I plan on getting mine there when they come out in the first part of October.

But I promise that every order of Skreddy Pedals through Music Toyz or any of my other dealers will be to your satisfaction, no matter what I have to do to make it right. Teddy is a good guy and an honest businessman and is a pioneer in the online effects world.

Marc!! You are the man. I greatly appreciate what you and Teddy did for me and I LOVE my LMMD. It will never leave my board. Unless of course a LMMsuperdeluxe comes out. lol

A few know to be wary of Teddy. He told me once he was having some difficulty getting something from Greer fx. I called Nick and he said the difficulty was Teddy hadn't ordered anything in over a year, but still had pedals for sale on the web. I moved over to another dealer problem solved. Not admitting you don't have the desired object is dishonest.

Years ago I ordered a pedal that was listed in stock. Didn't hear anything for 3 weeks, inquired, got no answer, another week asked again, got no answer. E-mailed a cancellation of the order, got an almost instant e-mail that it was shipping out right then, two more weeks go by no pedal, I e-mail to cancel and get another nearly instant reply, "It's right here in my hand, I'm putting it in the box right now." I figured what the heck and in a few days the pedal arrived.

I recently ordered and got a pedal that was listed in stock in record time, good service all the way around. My past experience was when Music Toyz was much younger and obviously overwhelmed a bit. I check in there regularly and would order again. I've never heard of anybody ever not getting what they ordered or having refund issues. They (he) seems to be doing a pretty good job now.

It's sad because they were one of the first to specialize in boutique pedals bu if nothing else, they've become the model for how not to do things.

Many overseas customers who tried to buy pedals via paypal some 3-4 years ago got ripped off entirely. I was new to PP and did not know about the 40 days to submit a complaint. I called 3 times and talked to a lady called Dawn (who I believe isnt there anymore).

I got ripped $300 and broken promises. As i mention above, im not the only international customer to have been ripped either. Ted is a lier and a scammer.

I havent shopped there since and spread the word to everyone muso I meet.

I have done business with Teddy several times over the years. While he does not respond to emails with regularity, I have always gotten my shipments with no problems. I will probably do business with again.

Ive read and heard more negative about this company than any other. my question is, if this business is so bad and has such a horrible reputation, why do people continue to deal with them and how do they tend to stay in business?
