MXR Flanger RI

Anyone have any experience with these? I have both the original ('78) and the RI but I don't think the RI is anywhere as good as the original. I was wondering if maybe they are inconsistent and I might just have a bad one.

With the original having that cumbersome power supply it's too difficult to use it live so I bought the RI but its not doing it for me.

Any suggestion for a Flanger that does the old MXR but will fit nicely on a pedal board and play nice with the rest of the pedals?

Yes... the old one is much nicer. I had mine converted to tru bypass and 18v power supply so its now pedalboard friendly!
