The land of unbelievable Pawn Stores... gotta admit, quite impressive.
Great deal, maybe. How much does it weigh?
Congrats. That’s a nice score. The pawn shop near me is great if you want to spend $550 on a beat-up, mid-level Epiphone.
Congrats, that is a wicked deal.
I love my 09 HW1 tele.
Not surprised a bit.................. not even a LITTLE bit. Which once again is what you paid.............a LITTLE Bit. "The Prince Of Pawn" Strikes Again! Saw this over at the HFC...........comes on the heels of that really nice Hamer Bass you just scored. Do I need to say CONGRATS!?.............of course I do! Like the TV show says that is a "BITCHIN RIDE" SKIP!
Especially when dripping with Toanz!
Yea Gary, it's pretty crazy what's been going on lately.
I guess maybe I need to buy a Mega Million Lottery ticket and see what happens.
You never know.
Yeah it's one of these moments................................
re-stickered Squier parts mix maybe?
I dream of finding a deal like that. Any good gear I find is usually overpriced.
Highway 1! Nice score. Great platform for swapping 3rd party PUPs. Enjoy.
Absolutely not. This is 100% pure, 2009 "Upgrade" Highway One. Probably one of the very last ones produced in this color (the later "residue" of '10 and '11 were black or sunburst).
This guitar was supposed to come with a Deluxe Gig Bag but places like GC liked to "Explode" the package and let people negotiate for it separately. You had to buy a case separately if you wanted one.
I've been a pawn shop weekly warrior for 15 or so years, in various cities, having a fair amount of gear knowledge even beyond guitars in the back pocket.
I've gotten some scores, but always a caveat. Like prior repair, refin, or in need of current repair etc, yet a decent deal even at that.
But, to consistently get clean score after clean score after clean score? I've not gotten ONE clean score in my entire life!
Clearly....I need to pack up and move to the land of $100 Highway Ones or simply wait until I get there in the afterlife.
you sound like a real piece of work, certainly not the type who deserves to find a deal like that.
Why wouldn't you haggle with them? It's a pawn shop that's what it's all about. Plus, they would do the exact same thing to you no matter how much you wanted for a piece of gear.
MAN! How bad was somebody jonesing for a crack rock to pawn a MIA Tele for $20? Good score for you, but imagine finding the :
A: crackhead that stole it and pawned it
B: crackhead who needed a fix
C: pissed of girlfriend that hocked the ex's guitar
D: some kid that needed gas money for the weekend
E: idiot who was gifted it and decided it was too hard to learn, so pawned it in trade for a copy of Tony Hawk 10 for PS3
What? No case? I would have left right away !
You capitalist, you!
