I thought I would post this if anyone is interested. I made it to show the amp to a guy who might want to buy it. I hadn't played it in a while but wow, does it sound good!! I am seriuosly leaning towards keeping it!!!

I know...I totally have to keep it!!!!!
We have a baby on the way and I have a good Deluxe Reverb and a sweet Princeton Reverb and 5 great electric guitars, 2 crappy electrics, a bass, a fantastic acoustic, a PA, a bunch of recording stuff and a zillion pedals so it seems like the "responsible" thing to do is thin the herd and gather a few bucks for cribs, strollers etc.

    But...

Heres what will happen if I sell it: I will talk for years about how I used to have this great Marshall and I sold it like a dumb dumb. Then I will obsess about it, try to find another like it, be disappointed, grumble, obsess some more and always regret selling it. I have done it before ( has anyone not??) and I'll probably do it again, but not with this amp!!!!

I'm keeping it!!!! Who knows , maybe my yet to be born or named Daughter will be really happy one day when she inherits this great room full of gear!!!

    Dude,

    Keep it if you can.

Trust me... My daughter is 12 years old I do not ever remember looking at my wife while driving around town and saying... dayum.... hunny... we should've held onto that changing table... it would be worth what??? $20.00 now???

I do love it when someone post a video of items they are selling though. I saw an ebay auction recently where the guy did the same thing with an amp he was selling... Great idea!!!

    Good luck with the baby.

    Regards,

    Stace

I agree....keep it if you can. These era Marshalls are killer...and you will be glad you kept it years from now. And the 6550's .....very underrated.

Cool amp...looks like a couple of the can caps were replaced (a good thing). That cold glare into the camera is intimidating me. :)

I say if you use it, keep it. If you don't use it and you don't think you will maybe letting it go will be a good thing. I have been selling off gear left and right since we had our son 4 years ago. The gear isn't nearly as important any more. I have a couple of good amps, a few good guitars and a handfull of pedals, and a great wife and son. :dude

I had the same amp and selling it was the biggest regret in gear that I have.
