I've posted here before - specially our debut album at zoe3.bandcamp.com/...
After some months, we're finally getting some gigs. Instrumental music is tough anywhere in the world - here in Rio de Janeiro, it's even tougher. But, luckily, we're getting invited to play some cool small/mid venues, all of which are not specifically for instrumental music.

Here's the opening tittle of our record, which starts more theme-based, then goes almost free-form and melts into oblivion ;) by the end.

And here's another song form our album, a mixture of a Brazilian rhythm Baiao and rock and jazz and whatever:

Dude! That was AWESOME! I'm hearing so much going on there from old Metheny (at the beginning, and your bass player with that Jaco tone) to a hint of Mahavishnu Orchestra. You guys are tight and have a great sound all your own.

Well done, and I hope you get more gigs!

I like that. I like that a lot because, basically, my own improv sounds like that (the slower to medium speed parts is where I live, that is. Can't come close to the faster segments you do).

Thank you, thank you very much!

And you're right about Metheney. Bright Size Life is one of my favorite albums, and a great inspiration when I started to write songs for a trio format.
And our bass player is, definitely, a Jaco-head!

Just another example that you can play (practically) ANYTHING on a Tele.

I'm hearing Metheny and Eric Johnson in there, some Bunny Brunell in the Bass.
Tony Williams feel on Drums.
GREAT WORK!

That's great! I do think that I sound better on those slower part, actually. When I speed up, I'm kinda messy... I'm a frustrated shredder haha

Yeah, love Krantz's work! I wish I had such a deep understanding of rhythm as he does, though!

And thanks, I really found my sound with this Tele+Vox Ac15 combo, it's so comfortable to me to play... Btw, I used my Timmy on all the time... It's a great match for this guitar and amp.

Wonderful, just friggin' wonderful, Paulo!

I know this isn't the area to demo gear, but since I'm asking - what are you using for amp and effects? Is that an AC15? What speaker?

Very soulful and articulate tones (and playing!).

Thank you very much! After years of frustration, I'm now really happy with my tone.
Yes, it is a Vox Ac15 (in Normal channel), a C1 model. Stock tubes, stock Greenback speaker, still breaking in.
As far as effects, I kept the Timmy on throughout the song (gain and volume at 12 o'clock), together with a Ibanez De-7. when the solo starts to get more aggressive, I use the Amp50 as a booster into the Timmy. The whole song was through the bridge pup - the Tone Cut knob on the Vox was almost dimed.
