My Craigslist guitar scores...

Just thought I'd share a the gems I've acquired from Craigslist over the last few years. I just received new Couch straps for two of them yesterday so I figured why not share the sexy beauty of these awesome guitars! From left to right:

2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard, strap is Couch brand, from a NOS Volkswagen vinyl woven seat covering material. All original.

PRS Standard 24, original owner replaced the pickups with Seymour Duncan Antiquities. I don't think I like them for hard rock. It has a comfy old crappy strap. I have the trem blocked with a tremol-no. Pretty good experience with it so far.

Fender Mexican Tom Delonge model hard tail Strat, strap is Couch vinyl racing stripe to match the colors of the guitar. All original.

These hang in my home office so I can look at them every day and play when I'm inspired. What have you found on Craigslist?

2010 Am Std Strat, 2011 Am Std Tele, limited run 2011 LP JR Special with ebony board all like new.

Also a 25 Watt Lil Dawg 5E3 Tweed amp, 1993 LP Studio, 2002 Heritage 157 Trans Black, a 93 Hamer P90 Special and a 2007 AVRI 52 Tele. Still have them all.

And this past weekend an OCD pedal for $50.

My last three CL scores-
A 2004 Taylor 454CE, virtually unplayed, original strings on it, and a Fatsound polishing cloth in the case. I paid a little more than half the street price for the guitar new.
A GK 250ML, like brand new, including the footswitch, cable, and a really cool storage bag with a GK logo on it that I had never seen before.
A Roland Juno-60 that had been bought new by a lady to play Christmas carols on. She had it set up in her dining room on a teak stand that she had made to match her dining room furniture, and she had sewn a custom dust cover for it. It came with all of the original manuals including these little blank sheets to record patch settings and also with the backup cassette.
I look every day and I always have a couple hundred bucks hidden away for a CL find.

My Craigslist has nothing but "Gibson Epiphones", "Fender Squiers" and ESP LTDs". I wish we had half as many cool guitars as you've scooped up. BTW sounds like you love your straps as much as your guitars.

I've recently decided each guitar needs its own dedicated strap. For years I'd just use one or two straps between them all but I like the custom match for each now. I'd never really paid too much attention to straps before.

I'm a big fan of couch straps as well! Just superb quality for the price, and the recycling of the found materials/car upholstery is a huge eco-friendly plus for me.

I think I'd prefer one third or two thirds as many guitar scores as the OP has.

I've sold more guitars on Craigslist than I've bought. But I got this one through a CL ad. My only acoustic right now, and a wonderful guitar. It's a custom John David Scott OM (mahogany/spruce). It has a wonderful tone and is really pretty loud. Got it for $1200, which is less than half what you'd pay for David Amirault of JDS to make you one:

And BTW, I like and use Couch straps too, but the one on this guitar is from Souldier.

I just got a G&L Tribute Legacy from CL a couple weeks ago, for a really good deal, and it came with a Levy's strap IDENTICAL to the one on your PRS. Nice strap, functionally, but that "tribal" pattern...
