Recently got my Custom Shop one off Class 5 (purple flame) pimped out in gold hardware and Aldrich Suhr p/ups, which sound AMAZING through this guitar! Great sounding guitar, especially with a bone nut and set up with .11's.

That looks really badass, and I'm not usually a fan of gold hardware. I am now envious.

I normally hate non-standard colors, but that one I'd make an exception for. Totally cool.

I was waiting to give waya the 'door prize' for a Prince quote, that was awesome cvansickle. . . Funny stuff! If you want the truth, this is how it happened. . . literally! In college, around eleven years ago, I was walking along with one of my college roomates at the University of Dayton, him being a TOTAl LP fanatic, and me being the token "Strat - fiend". So, we're walking, and I decidd to share a vision with him that I'd had the other night. me, being my 'close minded' self, shared the revelation with my roomate that I'd dreamt of playing a purple LP, and in the dream the guitar was jus completely bad ass. I'll never forget the look on his face when I mentioned the word 'purple'.

So, ten years later I'm at the local GC, I'd just picked up a used 2002 Ibanez JemVH with the ebony board, and the manager asked me if I was looking for anything else. And just off hand, I said, "I've always wanted a purple Les Paul". He said off hand that he'd been down to the Dallas store and saw one there. We went through the computer, and there it was. . . So, we shipped it up here and the rest is history. Of course, NOW I don't have the Jem, but c'mon, this gutar ROCKS!

that's how it happened. . . I also happen to have a deal with Gibson as an artist (I'm in professional sports and we have a mutual sponsorship), and they now say that they will not just 'do' custom one off's anymore - which I think sucks (thanks, Henry). But this baby cost me a LOT, and I'll never part with her if I don't have to. . .

And I'm TELLING you, after playing with Burstbuckers the past year or so, switching those out with a '57 in the bridge OR the Aldrich humbuckers opens up SO many doors for you. . . I had TK keckler here in Memphis (Tom Anderson's partner in crime, at one point, and Shector Luthier) set it up, and when we put in the Aldrich's, even he was amazed. . . Lot of life in those babies, the LP never sounded so good.

so, I'm sure there will be a pair of Burstbuckers on flea-bay shortly. Thanks for looking guys, it's a great guitar. . .

Seriously- I think that is the most BADASS coolest LP I've EVER seen. I've been staring at guitars for 20yrs. That one is literally off the charts man. Big Congrats to you. Holy crap....

Can you post some more pics? I'd love to have more pics of this guitar in my collection of digital guitar pics. I'd really appreciate it.
