Alan Murphy was the shiznatz, was on a few of Kate Bush's records and in Level 42. Great fusion player, think Bub knew him?

EDIT: Oh Yeah, Go West also.

I'm still trying to figure out soundclick.com, haven't gotten to sound cloud! Great track - I love your note choices and how you can take a lick outside and still sound like the blues. Great tone too. Was that a software modeler or hardware? Just goes to show the sound starts in your head, goes thru your heart and comes out your hands. If you have all that together you can make anything sound good!

Alan Murphy took the sound that Alan Holdsworth used with UK, and ran with it. He was the 'go to' guy for recorded solos. Go West, Nick Hayward, Nik Kershaw, Mike & The Mechanics recordings all had AM solos, and he played live with Go West, Kershaw and Level 42. Holdsworth completed a Level 42 tour after AMs death.

    Bairnson's still playing.

This is Alan Murphy from '84, charted at 25. This stuff made me get a locking whammy! When I first heard this I'd no idea who it was and assumed it was Holdsworth going mainstream.
