I got myself a portastudio and tried to record a bunch of songs.

They are far from finished because I'm still trying to figure out how to handle this new technique.

And I suppose there should be both fiddle, piano and vocal harmonies on them before I even consider them finished.

The lyrics are written by a guy born in Kentucky USA but he lives here in Sweden nowdays and the vocals and the melody is done by a friend of mine, the steelguitar is played by my friend Lars and the guitars, bass, drums, harmony vocals and the recording are done by me.

Yes Sir Hellecaster, if you ever bring the Woodpickers by Texas, USA, there'd be plenty of folk that would really enjoy what ya'll are laying down.

I can almost smell the southern fried catfish, sawdust, and snuff juice when I listen to your tracks.

    Thanks!

Great job. Are you playing pedal steel as well?

Thanks all for the kind words!

The steelgit is played by my friend Lars Halth.

Actually the steel you hear on the "Mountain Moonshine Mama" was a mistake becuase he first thought he should put steel on the choruses only so he just "made some noises" on the verses but it turned out there should be more steel on the verses instead so he is about to redo that when vacations are over.

But I didn't want to leave the verses blank so I kept the small fills he did for now. I bring you the updated version as soon as possible.

I've never played in USA myself but my fiddler toured in Texas in the middle of the 90s with a bluegrassband kalled "Cayenne".
The played in Denton and around in TX and were very well treated by the local audience.
