I play in a duo occasionally, and we have a big gig in a month. It will most likely be cancelled or at least postponed.

At the moment we are both in home quarantine for two weeks due to exposure to people who have tested positive to corona, so rehearsal is off.

Leaves a lot of time to hang out on TGP, though..

The monthly music jam at our church is still scheduled for tomorrow night, but I suspect it will be the last for a while.

Yup; we were supposed to play at a 5K race on a college campus.

I just quit one of the bands I was playing with so about half my gigs were "canceled" by me.... so far nothing else has been canceled as of yet. So far this weekend is still on and I saw the venue shared a posts yesterday. Of course, that could change before the gig.

It looks like all major sporting events have been canceled. That's a lot of lost income for the workers in the arenas/stadiums, restaurants around, etc.

We got a heads up from the venue for Saturday that they are keeping an eye on the situation, but so far they are going forward with regular schedule.

All my local gigs have been on still and well attended. My international gigs are what's mainly being affected which really sucks because those are the big money gigs that pay the mortgage. Scary times.

This cancelling stuff has gotten just plain stupid. Facts are not backing these decisions.

A buddy of mine has five gigs between tonight & St. Paddy's. Last I heard, all were full steam ahead.

I have seven booked between 3/21 & 4/24. I'll be surprised if I get to play more than three.

Every gig I had between now and the end of April has been cancelled.

Governor of WA just banned any event with more than 250 people in the three biggest counties.

Only exception is one next weekend over in Spokane, and we are considering cancelling that one as well. NCAA March Madness is in Spokane the same weekend and just announced no fans may attend the games. They will take place in empty stadiums.

You should not hope that the gig won’t be canceled, but that no one with the virus will attend.
Here (Italy) is everything closed, you need permission to walk in the street...

All of mine have been cancelled, not surprising. Will spend time with the family this weekend and sitting in my jam room practicing instead. Life could be worse.

Yup - we were booked for a St. Patty's day private party gig tonight in Boston - canceled. Sucks, but it is the right call for sure.

I disagree. This virus is serious and if we do not decrease the proliferation, our medical systems will be overwhelmed. Large groups of people in close proximity should be avoided right now. Social distancing is the only way to stop the spread of this virus. It does suck, but it is the right call for sure.

My Saturday gig just got cancelled as I was reading this thread. I figured they’d pull the plug.
