to me that it is. So I've had in my head for awhile to have my daugher make me an art guitar. She is now 7 and loves to draw and paint etc. I origianlly just wanted something to hang on the wall, but I thought why not make something that I can actually use. So, I bought this Charvel San Dimas off a fellow TGPer several months ago and here is where we are now.

The plan is to have it covered with art. Front, back sides, neck....everything. I'm gonna use it for church this Sunday. So what do you guys think so far?

Sweet deal all around. I'd stay away from doing the neck myself, but the headstock, yeah.

I love it. So much I just might ask my 8 year old to do the same to my Epi LP jr. It's about halfway between skool bus yellow and puke yellow.

Very nice. I'd be proud to have something like that from my kid (way down the road for me of course lol)

Wow she has a lot of talent . That looks fantastic ! You may want to clear coat over it to to protect it . I have a couple young artists myself .... May have to let them at one of mine .

Thats awesome, and a very impressive chameleon for a 7 year old! I don't think I could draw one that well.

That's awesome. I'd ask her to put something in the lower horn as well...maybe a daisy or a cat. When my niece was 5 or 6, Ms Vee and an old guitarist friend of mine bought some "Hello Kitty" stickers at the 99 Cent Store while they got some beer for the party.

Then they "stole" my guitar at a BBQ/Jam while I was playing one of my LPs and had my niece go to town on my Daphne Blue MIM 50's Classic Strat. They didn't tell me a thing. When I opened the case, I starting laughing my ass off and the keyboard player gave me a puzzled look. Then I showed him the guitar and he started laughing too and we both waved at my niece. She just smiled sweetly and waved back.

iMO: Don't do the neck. I'd just clearcoat it after she's done with the front and back (maybe the headstock, but it's your call) and treasure it always...

Here's "Hello Kitty". I took the stickers off when I traded it for a FSR Tele.

It sure is. The dog isn't bad either. I bet her dog looks just like it.
