Hi:

I bought this ’55 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins Vintage Select Edition (Golden Era Collection) made in 2016.

The guitar have nitro finish and TV Jones T-Armond pickups. Sound incredible in my Victoria Ivy League 2 X 10” Amp. I can use the Bigsby all the time and the guitar stay in tune.

I’m very happy and i enjoy every moment with this incredible guitar.

Regards

To check the book "Gretsch 6120 - The History of a Legendary Guitar" by Edward Ball i find this photos of an original '55 Chet Atkins 6120. Is interesting that for this reissue i bought use a figured top too similar than the original '55. Another models base on the '55 like G6120 DSW have plain top.

Around '56-'57 use plain top.

Regards

What a beauty! Congrats! I got my 6120 last year. I notice that one has the Dearmond single coils - do they copy the old Dynasonics?

Nice! All the right stuff, none of the wrong stuff.

Yup. Gretsch makes their own Dyna reissue that's quite good, but TV Jones has an even better version.
