First - I want to thank everyone who sent me messages or gave me input on amplifiers. I really appreciate all the help and suggestions from everyone. Proud new owner of a Mesa Boogie Transatlantic TA-30. I feel pretty lucky to have come across this amp. I have been researching, and asking many questions here over the last two months, and have had a chance to play some amps over that time. I saw this listed as used on Friday evening, and went to check it out on Saturday, and went back Sunday with my other guitar and my delay to run through the effects loop. Today, it is mine! I've had a chance to play it for a few hours, and really like the tones/sounds I am getting from this amp, and looking forward to learning all it can do. The best part was it was new and not used. I'm seeing them listed on Reverb.com for $1700-$1800 new, and I got this for a $1000 (w/ tax). I had read about the TA line, and was interested, but figured my only chance would be used. So, the best of both worlds, new at a reduced price as it was manufacturer discontinued overstock..............I feel it was a great deal. Really enjoyed the "Bring back the Transatlantic Series" thread, might have helped push me over the edge.
