Hi everyone, I wanted to post some pic of my long awaited Osthoff all Koa OM. It arrived a couple days ago and I'm oh so pumped about it! She's a beauty in both looks and sound. It's top, back and sides are all solid koa, the neck is mahogany with maple and ebony stringers, fretboard and bridge are ebony, the nut, saddle and bridge pins are fossilized walrus ivory.

It's really tough to describe how awesome that guitar is in words, so I'll just say: :drool.

    Beauty!

Koa a reputation for being a little bright at first, which just means you'll have to play it a lot. It will keep getting better and better and better, and warmer and richer. You can't lose. Nice One.

Putting a geetar like that in my hands would be like putting silk undies on a goat. Not my cup o' tea but it is pretty. Congrats!

So, the original poster in this thread is the bass player in the band I am in. not sure if he still posts here. Anyway, we had a studio session yesterday, and as we were going to lay down some acoustic tracks, he brings his acoustic guitar. Before we get started, during conversation, he mentions it is a custom build he recently got. So I ask if I can check it out, as I didn't know he had one (obviously did not see this thread).

After opening the case and strumming a few chords, I sheepishly ask him, "Can I use this today?"

What a fantastic guitar. As you can imagine, having something suprisingly happen like this does woders fro your mental state of mind, which at least for me, is a huge factor in how I play. it was simply phenominal, and by far the best acoustic guitar I have ever played, probably any guitar for that matter.

Now, it did look a little different than what is pictured here, so maybe Bob has 2? :)
