The Jazz Bass has always been my instrument of choice, and I have owned MANY over the years. Still have my '62 (my #1) but have looking for another one for a while. Just found it.

Stumbled upon this one in my local store (Alto Music). This is a '64 Jazz bass Relic. It is a "one-off" that was custom ordered (not for me).

The official color is Teal Green Metallic ...but really looks like faded LPB to me (hard to photograph).

I am quite impressed with this Custom Shop bass. Plays and sounds great.

So...here are some pics of my new jazz bass (also shown is my Trace Elliot V-type combo amp that I just purchased from fellow TGP Bro "Bassomatic")

Nice looking bass man! I like the color, it is unique.

I like Jazz basses myself. On my list is replacing my POS MIM Jazz with a nicer American or second party copy.

Home... after 6 years on the road.
    Nice!

I just bought my first Jazz this Past Sat. myself, nothing special like that, just a HWY1, but it it is great for my first Jazzer, being a P-bass man all my life.

    lovely!
I just bought a Bacchus Jazz after some recommendations from Bassomatic - same colour as this - faded LPB. Just got to learn to play it now and teach the kids...... know any good bass tab sites?

    Thanks for the kind words.

I really love this bass...and this color.

Growing up in the early 1970's, my dad had a 1960's Faded Metallic Blue Chevy Impala that he used to drive my brothers and I to school. My little friends affectionately referred to it as "the Bomb" ... ..now, it was the 1970's so that was not like "da bomb" of today ... it was just a real POS that looked like a bomb had gone off under it.

Fond memories of us roll'n through town in "the Bomb" with my dad yelling at the three of us to "stop jumping around back there while the car is in motion!"...no car seats back then.

    But I digress....

gcdx- that's one of the best looking Fender basses I've ever seen, period. The tort guard really makes it, too.

    Thank you, Sir.

I played it last night until my fingers started to swell-up.
