I got rid of my AMS Neve Logic 3 plus Audiofile set-up and have slimmed down to just a pro tools 002 console with the DV toolkit 2 for post prod work.

I also have final cut studio 2 for HDV video editing and a 750g g-tech drive.

I got an i-mac to run the system which is a 24 inch 2.8 with 4gig ram and a 500g hard drive. The second 20 inch screen will also be hooked up once the dvi adapter arrives.

The amp wall fits in well too and there is a lot more room to move around:

I still have my groovy green carpet though!!!

I just purchased the exact same computer set up! The 24" screen is a revelation after using a PowerBook...
How are you planning on using the second screen, Gary?

    Best, Pete.

    Nice and clean.
Are you using the native drum sounds or to trigger a plugin (BFH, DFH, etc)?

Looks great. I like the green carpet. We have hunters' green carpet on the main floor of our home, combined with red oak hardwood flooring for a relaxing ambiance and soothing color scheme. Removing the neve console freed up a lot of space for you. Enjoy!

Too damned clean-nothing to trip over! Mine is stacked all around and spread anywhere I can put stuff. Of course, the one thing that you don't have is a TV in there to watch(muted, of course) when working. An absolute must-can't miss NCIS!

Gary, I've never set up a Pro Tools system for my home. What are the pitfalls or what do you recommend?
I was strictly analogue but am using Garageband as a "sketchbook" - which I know is rather limiting....

    Any advice gratefully received.

    Best, Pete.

Cool slimmed-down rig, Gary. You can get so much done on a computer these days, and make it sound good, that it's almost scary!

I was *wondering* where you'd got off to.

Did they at least buy you dinner before...you know...the thing happened?

Nice and concise setup! Mind if i asked, did you purchase the 4gb ram upgrade from Apple or DIY'ed?

Also, just running 1 internal 500gb hdd? Just asking cause i may be considering to purchase an imac or macbook soon to do some audio work too
