my PRS Tim Mahoney SE tune issue

hey i have a prs tim mahoney and it isn't staying in tune, i posted on prs forum and one person replied that locking tuners dont improve the tuning stabkllity on stoptails....... if i got locking tuners would it stay in tune if played for a long time??? if so, any recomendations specificaly for this tim M SE?

It's probably not the tuners but the nut. For less than you would spend on new tuners just take it to a tech and have him re-cut/file the nut slots. quick and easy fix.

I've had this problem with every prs I've ever owned. Like they've said above its that the nut slots arent wide enough, not your bridge or tuners.

The SE nuts are junk and they are cut for 9's. The tuners are fine, just replace the nut with a decent cut one.
My se's stay in tune with the original tuners and new nuts.
