    I have the 45/50 RockyTop, JTM/plexi clone.

There 0 overdrive coming from the amp. nothing?

This is a new amp to me, I never really messed with it to much in the past. I just used the clean channel with a OCD in front for some dirt. BUT I was playing it today with no pedals, and there is on crunch coming from it?. any ideas? Thanks

Jesse is a member here (Rockytop Blues), try to PM him. Sounds like a bad tube though...

The amp on the JTM side is pretty clean, so you may not get much "crunch" out of it, but the Plexi side will break up pretty early.

every place possible,.. anywhere for 1 to 8... I'm using tone zone pickups. Very hot pups. I don know what the problem could be.. I know these arnt really gainy amps. but there had got to a little dirt on the plexi side.

Not trying to be a smartass.

Which input jack were you in, and which volume were you adjusting?

    Sometimes it's the simple things...

I assume this is just like a 4 hole Marshall? My45H didn't have a ton of dirt but it did get nasty around 7 or 8.

Turn it up all the way and hit it with a clean boost.:Devil

Edit: Swap out the preamp tubes first, then the power tubes. If that doesn't do it then call Jessie at Rockytop. He should be more than willing to help.

I know man. I thought the same thing. I went back downstairs and played it and when its set on the plexi side only 2 of the 4 inputs work. Witch is normal. But there is 0 dirt? I'll try the power tubes next.. like i said I put brand new JJs in this morning, so I'll try the power tubes now. Hope for the best.
