My purple mist single cut came today and I'm just floored!
This guitar David Myka made for me is absolutely incredible. It is everything I asked for and more and is a resonant tone monster. It is so comfortable to play, is light, and sings for days. At home playing classic rock and jazz, I'm just happy as a clam! If you are in the market for a custom made guitar, give David a call and chat with him. I don't think you will regret it. These pictures are'nt even close...:drool

That's a sweet looking guitar. I've never heard of them. How long have they been making guitars?

Wow! I'm not usually impressed by tops since tons of $350 Korean guitars have great tops. This one is very cool, though. Really interesting personal touches in joinery, too.

That's a great looking guitar! Myka's single cut shape and vibe is very organic, I love it!

He is in Buffalo NY only 60 miles from me! I have talked to him on the phone and he seems like a great guy.

David continues to impress me with his work. This purple finish came out just great - and, like Ron Thorn's work, I'm sure it looks even better in person than in the pictures.

I really like the back carve and neck heel on Myka guitars, too. I'd love to play one some time.

    Congrats! :AOK

That neck joint looks very comfy. I love how the Paua Abalone blends with the purple mist finish, very purty...

That is STUNNING. As soon as I saw it, I had a taste of "Grape Stix" candy in my mouth! 'Member those? David is a super cool guy. I had a question here on TGP about caps in certain axes awhile back and he was the only one to give a reply. Can you imagine that?? If I only had the dough. The wood he gets is absolutely insane, and his attention to detail is obviously second to none! And that neck joint! I'm droolin' all over the floor here now!
