Yes, this may sound stupid (and it probably is) but nonetheless....

Would a Peavey 6505+ head be able to run through a Peavey Classic 50 410 ---- if the amp part of the Classic 50 was detached?

Essentially the 410 would just be a 4x10 cab.

Yes, so long as the impedance (ohms) match. I own a 50 Classic, and I "think" it is a 8 ohm input. Just get on line if you don't have the manuals. It would be an easy look up. I've never owned a 6505 head. So, I have no idea what the output might be. Who knows it could be switchable, or have multi outs.

and if you're lucky the chassis of the 6505 fits in the C50 combo? i have no idea, i'm just throwing it out to ya.

    The 6505+ head is switchable between 4 (I think 4) and 8 and 16 ohms and the C50 is 8 and 16.

Not knowing about RMS wattage...is that a potential issue?

Also have a tube question but I think I'll start a new thread about that.

no issue. just figure out the total impedance of the 4 10's (if you don't know how to figure this out then ask) then set the 6505 to match. the speaker jacks on the C50 are irrelevant.
