Having been a Rush fan for years, and loving many of their songs, and thinking that many are great and it would be impossible to choose a best, I have come to the conclusion after performing this song for the last year, that "Subdivisions" could simply be the most perfect song they've constructed.

It's grown on me in a way that none of the other "major hits" they've had has (like Freewill which would have been a strong contender), and even some underdog favorites of mine (like La Villa Strangiato or Witch Hunt).

    Rush - Subdivisions

    LZ - Rain Song

Billy Joel - Scenes from an Italian Restaurant

Yes - Starship Trooper (the three parts together)

The Beatles - Abby Road medley - if medleys are allowed

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick. Can't pick a side, I'm calling the whole thing one long song!

Chicago - Make Me Smile (the album version)

I have a propensity for long songs or multi-part songs that represent the level of "masterwork" (or "masterpiece") for those bands.

The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations

The Monkees - Pleasant Valley Sunday

    That's enough for now.
